Image The station began broadcasting 23 September 1997.  It is owned by Sewar Media Production and Walid Nawaf is the Managing Director of the station.

 

Amwaj Radio’s listening audience says tune-in because of the shows it broadcasts.  The primary audience is female, above the poverty line, living in the city, aged 45-54.

“I would start to enforce law on the big officials before the ordinary citizen. No one should be above the law.”

 

“I hate the postponement of the cases in the courts. There should be a time limit for that, first, and second, to force the lawyers not to take huge sums of money from the clients.”

 

“Enforcement of the law from the prime minister and the street cleaner.”

 

“First, to separate between the different authorities (responsibilities) and to have strong accountability of the judges so that no corruption occurs.”

Also, the sentences and decisions of the judges should be reviewed by a committee so that the judges will be accountable, because their decisions and sentences are not sacred.”
